Why do nurses choose travel contract assignments over
permanent
positions?
Travel assignments can be ideal for our nurses for a number
of reasons.
These may include the ability to earn a higher income than
normal, the
chance to visit exotic destinations, the opportunity to spend
time with
friends and relatives or paid housing. Our nurses also appreciate
the
experience gained through working in a different facility,
and the
expertise that comes along with that experience.
Can two nurses travel together?
Absolutely! When speaking with your recruiter, make sure that
they know
that this is one of your needs. We will do our best to make
sure that
both of you are in the same area, and working the same shift
in the same
hospital when possible.
What do I do if I have a problem during my assignment?
Pro-Touch is here for you for the duration of your contract.
Your
recruiter will work with you to solve any problems, and our
offices can be
reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If you have any
problems,
just let us know. Pro-Touch will do everything possible to
make sure that
your travel assignment is an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
How long will it take to find a position for me?
This can take anywhere from one day to several weeks. The
best way to
ensure a convenient placement time is to submit your needs
and
information well ahead of the time you would like your contract
to start. The
sooner we have your information, the sooner we can find an
assignment for
you!
Will I be able to stay with my assignment for a longer
period if
desired?
Our nurses often decide to renew travel contracts, when available.
Pro-Touch will ask you if you would like to renew your contract
several
weeks before the assignment is scheduled to end. If so, we
will explore
the possibility, and set up the renewal for you if it is available.
